Noem won re-election as governor of South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – Governor Kristi Noem has been re-elected and will serve another four years as South Dakota’s governor.

The Associated Press named Governor Noem the winner of Tuesday’s midterm elections, beating Democrat Jamie Smith and Libertarian Tracy Quint.

In his previous term, Governor Noem took pride in keeping businesses open during the COVID-19 pandemic and the way he managed the state budget.

Governor Noem has said in his second term that he will work to repeal the grocery sales tax and address family leave and child care.
