MPD says a thief was caught on camera stealing a ring worth more than $8,000

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A suspect is wanted after a ring valued at more than $8,000 was stolen from a Zales jewelry store on Monday.

An unidentified male suspect walked into the Zales jewelry store at 2700 Germantown Parkway and asked to see a ring. After seeing the ring, the suspect fled the store without paying, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Police say the suspect is a 25- to 30-year-old black man, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, black shirt, white t-shirt, ripped jeans/jeans, and light-colored shoes.

The stolen grape was gold and contained some diamonds.
