MPD investigates ‘injury call’ that leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – One person was killed and another injured after a reported “injury call” near Whitehaven Tuesday morning.

Investigators say officers received a call around 7:45 a.m. and responded to the incident at West Levy Road and Hammett Drive.

One person died at the scene. It is said that the second person came to the hospital in a private car.

MPD says this investigation is ongoing. No suspect information is available at this time.
