Hot Race for Lancaster County District Attorney

LINCOLN, Neb. (COLLEN) – One of the most hotly contested races in Lancaster County is the race for county attorney.

Republican Pat Condon is running for a second term against Democrat Adam Morfeld.

Condon took a narrow lead at 23:15 after Morfeld had led earlier in the night.

  • Adam Morfeld 50%
  • Pat Condon 50%

Condon was originally appointed to the position in 2017 and has more than 30 years of experience in the Lancaster County Prosecutor’s Office, which he said makes him more qualified than his opponent.

Morfeld said he is making changes to the office. He has advocated for more transparency in this position, with the goal of eliminating backlogs in the processing of sexual assault cases.
