Galesburg police responding to shooting are still looking for suspects

GALESBURG, Ill., (KWQC) – Galesburg Police responded to two shootings Sunday morning. The shooting happened in the 400 block of E Berrien Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the police department.

There was one victim at the scene with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say at 6 a.m. Sunday, a home in the 400 block of E Grove was hit by gunfire. According to the police, no one was injured in the incident.

The Galesburg Police Department is investigating both incidents and does not believe there is a threat to the general public. Suspects have not been identified at this time.
