Cheyenne and Casper see that the trash schedule changes for Thanksgiving

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Release) – The City of Cheyenne’s garbage collection and recycling schedule will be slightly altered this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Waste pickup and recycling scheduled for Thursday, November 24th will now take place on Saturday, November 26th. Please put your trash and recycling bins out by 6am.

Areas that normally collect waste on Fridays will remain on schedule for November 25.

All sanitation facilities: Household Solid Waste Transfer Station, Household Hazardous Waste, Compost Facility and Happy Jack’s Landfill will be closed Thanksgiving Day and will reopen on Friday, November 25th.

Casper will have Thursday trash collection on Friday, November 24th and Friday trash collection on Saturday, November 25th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Our solid waste employees will spend Thursday with loved ones and then return to work on Friday,” said General Manager of Communications and Marketing Rachel Buzis. Other than the one-day delay, there are no other changes to garbage collection services, including free leaf collection.

“The City of Casper is grateful for our dedicated service employees who make our community a safe and beautiful place,” Bouzis said.
