CARROLL Co., Ill. (KWQC) – One person was killed and another injured in a crash in Carroll County Thursday.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of Route 78 and Golding Road in Illinois around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies said that the car of 89-year-old Ivan L. Miller, who was driving westbound on Golding Road, turned left onto Route 78. The second vehicle, driven by Eric Miller, 48, was northbound on Route 78.
According to deputies, the vehicle crashed at the intersection.
Eric Miller was taken to an area hospital and then transferred to a Rockford hospital, deputies said. Avon Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to deputies, the investigation is ongoing.
