Blue Grass man sentenced to prison in sexual exploitation case

SCOTT Co., Iowa (KWQC) – A Blue Grass man was sentenced to prison for sending child pornography to another person in September 2020.

Scott Matthew Decker, 47, pleaded guilty earlier this year to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a Class D felony.

On Friday, Judge Megan Corbin sentenced him to five years in prison on each count and ordered them to be served concurrently or concurrently.

The judge also sentenced him to a special sentence, such as 10 years of probation.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, between September 20 and 27, 2020, Decker sent 18 digital files to another person using the messaging service.

According to the arrest affidavit, the files sent were digital images of various girls engaged in sexual acts and in sexual positions.

The investigation was directed to the sheriff’s office after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
