A Hy-Vee employee has been arrested and charged with stealing money from the register

LINCOLN, Neb. (COLON) – The Lincoln Police Department arrested a Hy-Vee employee accused of stealing money from the cash register.

On Sunday, around 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Hy-Vee at 50th and O streets.

According to police, the manager told officers they believed the cashier would be removing cash from the register starting in October.

LPD said the total loss is $3,234.

The police arrested a 19-year-old woman who was involved in theft by illegally taking between 1,500 and 5,000 dollars.
