A husband accused of murdering his wife has a court date set

Huntsville, Ala. (WAFF) – The trial of the husband of the woman whose body was found in a house on Sunday has been scheduled for December 7.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, the homicide happened on Boardman Street around 4:00 p.m. Sunday. HPD officials say it appears to be a domestic incident.

Ronnie Cupps, 39, has been charged with murdering his wife, Teresa Cupps, who was found dead at home. According to Monday’s complaint, Ronnie killed Teresa by hitting her in the head and face with a claw hammer.

Ronnie was taken into custody on Monday with the help of the United States Marshals Task Force. He is currently being held in the Madison County Jail.

Ronnie has a criminal history and was recently arrested on July 15th for 1st robbery. He tried to steal someone’s wallet and threatened them with a gun.
