A car rolled over in Minnehaha County, ejecting two people

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office reported a crash that ejected both the driver and passenger from the vehicle.

Officials say the crash happened just west of Sioux Falls on Sunday around 1 p.m. The vehicle was northbound on 463rd Avenue heading onto the eastbound shoulder when the driver overcorrected and lost control. The vehicle then entered the western ditch and overturned. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the vehicle. They were transferred to local hospitals, one of them suffered serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Minnehaha County Emergency Management, Hartford Area Fire and Rescue, Avera CareFlight, Humboldt Fire and EMS and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
