YFD responded to emergency calls and provided traffic control

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – During Fire Prevention Week, the Yuma Fire Department (YFD) responded to 341 emergency calls.

Therefore, these invitations were about the following:

• 13 Common Fire Responses
• 28 motor vehicle accidents
• 276 Other medical emergencies
• 24 Special duty, public assistance and housing assignment

Not only that, YFD says most of their calls were from traffic accidents. In addition, YFD offers these simple suggestions when driving on any road:

• Consider your driving time
• Plan your route
• Defensive driving
• Avoid distractions
• Use your safety devices
• Be alert and respond to emergency vehicles
