HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Drone video captured a large shark hiding among surfers in the waters off West Oahu early Sunday morning.
The video shows a surfer sending an emergency alert to a drone overhead.
The drone then flies towards a certain pattern in the water – a whale swimming directly under the surfer, who catches the wave right from the dorsal side.
The person who recorded the video said that the 6-8 foot shark was spotted at Howe Bush in Ewa Beach.
It seems that the animal does not behave aggressively.
Shark warning signs were posted in the area, but there are no reports of beach closures.
