WATCH: Clearwater man who fears clowns dedicates huge Halloween exhibit to them

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A Clearwater man decided to turn his fear of clowns into a creative exercise for a Halloween display.

Jeff Somerville said he’s been decorating for four years, but he always thought clowns were scary so he dedicated his Halloween decorations to them.

Its massive storefront features a 35-meter clown tunnel that welcomes visitors, made by a foreign company.

“It all started with a hand drawing, and they brought my vision to life!” Somerville said.

According to Somerville, the initial screen setup process takes two days. However, even with everything in place, the screen is still time-consuming to set up on a daily basis.

“I set this up every night (weather permitting) which takes about 30 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to tear down,” Somerville said.

One of the new additions to the exhibit this year is a 12-foot clown.
