VPR’s James Kennedy calls Raquel Leviss, Tom Schwartz’s Bond “weird”

Plot twist. James Kennedy broke his silence Raquel Leviss and Tom Schwartz‘s hookup — and weighed how it affected the Vanderpump Rules cast during the 10th season.

“It was strange. But honestly, I live my life and anyone can live theirs,” Kennedy, 30, said exclusively Us Weekly at BravoCon on Saturday, October 15th. “I mean, Raquel was like flirting with Peter [Madrigal]. Like, she had her tongue down Peter’s throat during my party on Tuesday [during] the first week [of filming].”

While discussing his ex-girlfriend’s life, the Brit admitted he wasn’t thrilled about her being involved with his friends, saying: “She’s a Schwartz now. I do not know. He’s bouncing around the house a bit.”

While the cameras were filming the 10th season Vanderpump Rules, Us confirmed that Leviss (28) and Schwartz (39) felt comfortable Scheana Shay and Brock Davies‘ wedding in August. “Obviously, it was about some heavy drinking. They got away with it,” the insider revealed exclusively Usadding that they had heard “through the grapevine” that “there was more going on” between the rivals.

According to Kennedy, the incident caused him to question his friendships. “Oh, yes. We’ll see how it goes in the season,” he teased. “But now they are real friendships. Those are real emotions. That’s why it gets so deep.”

The professional DJ noted that he was able to work things out with his colleagues, adding: “We’re fine. There is no bad blood. Like I said, it ended well, and I wish everyone the best.”

Viewers were introduced to Leviss in 2016 after she began dating Kennedy. The former couple, who got engaged during Season 9 of the hit Bravo series, announced their split while filming a reunion special.

“After these 5 wonderful years we spent together, we decided that we had two different goals and made the decision to end our engagement,” they wrote in a joint statement on Instagram in November 2021. “We love each other very much, but we are not in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep all thoughts positive. Sending love.”

During the Season 9 reunion, Leviss and Kennedy shared some shocking news Pump Rules associates. “I didn’t want to give up on him because he really showed me how committed he is to me and the things he’s willing to do to better himself,” the model explained during the January episode. “But I feel it’s something deep inside. I’ve been having nightmares about our wedding day, and I think that’s a sign that something’s wrong.”

The California native later revealed that she had mixed feelings about her ex-boyfriend moving on with him Ally Lewber shortly after their split. (Leviss, for her part, was briefly associated with Madrigal.)

“I judge you if you have a girlfriend [shortly] after your engagement is terminated. Like, literally how many months? Like one month? “Four weeks after they broke off the engagement, James has a new girlfriend,” she said Katie Maloney on her “You’re Gonna Love Me” podcast in April, as the host opened up about her split from Schwartz. “It’s not news to anyone, but I judge you if you have a girlfriend after your engagement has expired within a month. It’s fast. It’s okay though.”

During his appearance at BravoCon, Kennedy offered some insight into his romance with Lewber, 26.

“As for marriage — I’ve never been married — so obviously that’s a big part of what I want in my life. But now I’m really focused on my career as well,” he said. “This relationship is different just because it’s different, you know? We are human beings. We are very intellectual beings and I just feel like it’s amazing and I’m really happy.”
