The federal student loan forgiveness application form is now online

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – People can now fill out a form to apply for up to $20,000 in federal student loan forgiveness. The form is short and only takes a few minutes to complete. The form explains what is happening, who is eligible and how it works.

People have to fill in their name, age, and social security number, among a few other things, and then submit.

One federal loan borrower told FOX5 it only took a few minutes to apply. However, another person said they ran into several problems. The person said her federal student loan balance was not listed on the application site. But it says that the problem fixed itself and they were applied successfully. However, she also said the same thing happened with the Parent Plus loan, the balance was not shown and they were told to contact the loan servicing team. He is still awaiting a decision.

The deadline to apply for federal student loan forgiveness is December 31, 2023.
