The family of St. Pete runs away from the apartment fire, helps warn the neighbors

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) – St. Petersburg firefighters had to put out an apartment fire early Sunday morning, according to a news release.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said around 2:30 a.m. units responded to a fire at the Enclave at Sable Point Condos on 54th Avenue South.

Officials said the family living in the unit was able to escape and alerted their neighbors to help them get out.

The Red Cross is helping three families affected by the fire. However, there were no injuries.

Firefighters said they are still investigating what caused the fire.
