The driver of the school bus has released a statement after the crash in the Cooper-Young area

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A school bus driver was cited for failure to yield to an intersection after a crash with another vehicle in the Cooper-Young area that occurred Wednesday morning.

At 9:15 a.m., police technicians responded to a crash at South Avenue and Roselle Street.

Police say there were children on the bus at the time of the incident, but no one was injured.

The bus driver was arrested for failing to stop at the intersection.

The driver of the other car was taken to the regional hospital in critical condition.

He received citations for no driver’s license and financial responsibility.
