The College Station family continues to raise the bar with exciting Halloween shows

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – If you’re driving through Windrift Cove College Station this October, you can’t help but see the Los Muertos family.

It’s a Halloween-inspired display of skeletons that depict everything from social media trends to famous movie scenes or even breakfast shows.

Below is the Brazos Valley team’s latest performance this morning.

The nearly four-year tradition was started by Sammy and Michelle DeLeon.

“It’s gotten to where we’ve been putting them on stage once a day, every day in October,” Sammy DeLeon said.

Michelle DeLeon said they get inspiration from everywhere. It could be things around them, TikTok or events like Aggie gameday.

“One year we had a spreadsheet,” Michelle DeLeon said.

Some of their favorite shows include the 7-year-old Tariq’s “Child of the Corn” tribute, “ET the Extra-Terrestrial,” high school homecoming, artist Selena, and the movie “Believe.” The Deleons prepare new shows the night before and it takes about 30-45 minutes to complete.

Sammy DeLeon said the community encourages them and they love when families stop by their home or comment on the latest show on the Los Muertos Family Facebook page.

“The smiles and then the comments are pure motivation for us to know that we’re bringing a little bit of October cheer to everyone in town,” said Sammy DeLeon.
