The child was hit by a car, the woman is accused of child abuse

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Police Department responded to a domestic situation on Bayliss Avenue on Wednesday.

Officers say Audrey Kimble tried several times to run into her husband’s Ford Expedition with her SUV and rammed it several times, damaging the Ford.

Their two-year-old son was unrestrained in the front passenger seat, MPD said.

Also, Kimble’s nine-year-old son was in the back seat of the SUV at the time of the incident.

Kimble’s 12-year-old son tried to intervene outside the driver’s side door of his SUV.

Kimble acknowledged the presence of the child but continued to drive recklessly, the husband told police.

According to the affidavit, the 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital because he was hit in the leg by an SUV.

Police said the two-year-old boy was taken to the hospital non-critically due to injuries from being in the front seat.

Audrey Kimble is charged with criminal abuse, aggravated assault, child abuse and neglect, criminal damage to property over $1,000 and reckless endangerment.
