It’s getting cold in here! While at BravoCon in New York, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Meredith Marksand Whitney Rose he made it clear that their individual drama is not yet in the past.
During The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City panel on Saturday, Oct. 15, the foursome first came together to discuss their highs and lows from the first two seasons. However, it didn’t take long for the group to start showing their ongoing drama – starting with Whitney, 36, and Heather’s unexpected falling out.
The co-owner of Beauty Lab, 40, admitted that she wasn’t sure how to handle the distance between her and Whitney. “Now that’s weird. It feels like it was pulled out of nowhere,” Heather exclusively said Us Weekly on Saturday. “What do you do if someone you love doesn’t want to be your friend anymore? So I want her to be happy and I’m just trying to move forward.”
Whitney, for her part, hinted that a physical altercation caused the split. “That moment changed everything forever,” she said Eh! News last month, citing footage from RHOSLC trailer for season 3. “It’s hard. That was a tough split for me to swallow.”
At the time, Whitney said Meredith, 50, and Lisa’s personal feud contributed to her problems with Whitney.
“It’s hard because Heather and I were such good friends and second cousins,” she added. “There’s a big moment and you see in the trailer, there are some rumors going around. Who their source is, where they’re all coming from—women don’t agree on that and it drives the wedges between a lot of friendships, especially Heather’s and mine.”
Bravo personalities also used the panel to weigh in on their partner Jen Shahlegal issues. In March 2021, Jen, 49, was arrested along with an assistant Stuart Smith and was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. After initially pleading not guilty, Jen changed her plea in June.
The reality star, who was previously sentenced to 30 years in prison on fraud charges, could face up to 14 years in prison. (The U.S. Attorney’s Office dropped a second charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering after she changed her plea.)
Reflecting on the legal drama, Meredith recalled being “shocked” by the allegations.
“Yeah, I mean, for me it was like, of course, you have a surprise, all these things go through your head. You’re shocked and wondering, ‘Wait, what happened?’ But while all this is happening, the concern is for Jen and her family, and of course for the victims,” the jewelry designer exclusively said. Us on Saturday. “Whether it’s Jen’s fault or not, [the victims] always existed, we knew that. And so, it was something I always felt sorry for anyway. But my point is, it’s not about me.”
