After initially pleading not guilty, Jen changed her plea in June.

The reality star, who was previously sentenced to 30 years in prison on fraud charges, could face up to 14 years in prison. (The U.S. Attorney’s Office dropped a second charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering after she changed her plea.)

Reflecting on the legal drama, Meredith recalled being “shocked” by the allegations.

“Yeah, I mean, for me it was like, of course, you have a surprise, all these things go through your head. You’re shocked and wondering, ‘Wait, what happened?’ But while all this is happening, the concern is for Jen and her family, and of course for the victims,” ​​the jewelry designer exclusively said.
