Teresa Giudice ‘Drew the Line’ with Choosing a Bridesmaid

“From day one with all the wedding drama, I was told on national TV that I wasn’t going to be a part of it,” Melissa, 43, exclusively said Us Weekly at BravoCon 2022 on Saturday, October 15. “I was told that we are not close. I was told all these things. So when you draw a line in the sand, then, I have to stand behind the line. And then don’t get mad when we’re behind the line because you pulled it.”

The bridesmaid debacle alone didn’t bring the feud to a boiling point. Melissa believes that various problems served to ignite their relationship.

“It wasn’t just one event,” Melissa explained exclusively Us at a fan event in New York. “I feel like everyone wants to think there was one big thing that happened that made us say we’re not going to this wedding.”

Tensions boiled over when the podcaster and Joe, 43, did not attend Luis and Teresa’s wedding in New Jersey, which was filmed for a Bravo special in August.

“I think it was a series of events,” Melissa continued. “I think it’s been a long time coming. I think I knew certain things that I couldn’t say out loud. And then, in the final, they came out and simply – the energy went up.”

The RHONJ The season 13 finale was filmed just before the wedding. Melissa teased that viewers will see the events that led to the couple withdrawing their RSVP shortly before the ceremony.

“It would be really stupid to walk away from that and then within 12 hours sit on the bench because it just wouldn’t make sense for us to be there at all. Yes. That’s what you’re going to see,” Melissa said Us.

As for their future, the “On Display” singer said that while it’s “sad” they’re not in a relationship, she has no great desire to make amends with the cookbook author.

“I’m just ready to get off the roller coaster,” she continued. “I know in my heart that I tried. The roller-coaster goes up, down, in, out. And I’m at a point in my life where I don’t want to be on a roller coaster in any relationship, whether it’s my family, Joe’s family… We don’t want negative energy around us, no matter who it is. So I just think we’ve reached a point where we have to take a break.”

Melissa added, “We have a lot to be happy and blessed about, and it’s time to focus on ourselves.”

Teresa also spoke with Us Exclusive at BravoCon on Saturday, and she said that Melissa and Joe’s decision not to attend the nuptials was “devastating” to her.

“It’s my only family. So what do you think? Yes, it was devastating,” The Real Housewives of New Jersey said the star. “I mean, the day before [our wedding], I was in tears because I just found out. It was heartbreaking [because] it’s my only family and luis was hurt for me. My children were hurt. But then [on] that day, that day was our day.”

After Teresa and Louie tied the knot, Us confirmed that the couple are upset over rumors that Melissa cheated on Joe. They believe that Teresa was spreading accusations of infidelity. Gorga has since denied speculation about the affair.
