Heartbreaking change. Amide Teresa Giudice and brother Joe Gorga‘s feud, the Standing Strong the author was overcome with emotions when she found out that her younger brother would not attend her wedding Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
“It’s my only family. So what do you think? Yes, it was devastating,” The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 50, exclusively told Us Weekly at BravoCon 2022 on Saturday, October 15. “I mean, the day before [our wedding], I was in tears because I just found out. It was heartbreaking [because] it’s my only family and luis was hurt for me. My children were hurt. But then [on] that day, that day was our day.”

Shutterstock (2)While Joe, 43, and his older sister have had a strained sibling relationship for years, things reached a boiling point after the businessman and his wife Melissa Gorga decided to skip Teresa’s wedding in August. Us later confirmed that the couple were upset over rumors that Melissa had cheated on Joe, which they have since denied but believe were initially spread by the bride.
Teresa and Louie, 47, were eventually able to put aside their pain to focus on their marital bliss.
“[Marriage] it just makes things even better, like, now that we’re living together,” Dancing with the stars The 31st season gushed on Saturday, during a joint interview with her husband. “We just spent a year together and just, you know, our families are great, thank God. Like, it’s all settled!”
Louie added: “It’s nice to go to sleep and wake up next to a loved one in the morning. It’s something that probably both of us haven’t felt in a very, very long time.”
Teresa, for her part, shares four daughters with her ex-husband Joe Giudicewhile Louie and ex-wife Marisa DiMartino parent of two sons. The six children remain the “focus” of the couple amid the family split.

We live in love… We cannot live it if we cannot practice it in our normal lives.”
Teresa, for her part, wished her little brother well, but said that this “chapter” was closed and she wanted to move on.
“There’s just a lot of injuries out there and I just need time to heal and focus on us,” Turning the tables the author explained Us. “I’m just saying, stress is not good for the body or the mind, or just for peace. … I mean even with your kids, like, you have to focus on your kids [and] your husband [because] all that darkness affects everyone. So that’s why you have to focus on what makes you happy.”
The Bravo personality’s younger brother relives the fights between siblings with equal emotion.
“[Teresa] said it was closed [and] I hear about it in the press,” Joe said Us on Friday during the first day of BravoCon. “[It makes me feel] just the way I’ve felt for the past 13 years. Nobody knows how hard it is, you know? And someone said to me, ‘Well, why [do] you do that?’ I said, ‘Well, you know, why am I doing it because I’m already involved. I’m already pregnant. I’m a pregnant woman going through nine months and maybe I’m halfway there hopefully. I do not know. So why would I [stop] in this place?”
He then added: “What I want people to see is that we don’t do what we do as brother and sister [or] as a family member. That’s not the right way to do it.”
