A new chapter in her life. After her separation from Shep Rose, Taylor Ann Green opened up about where her exes are now — and reflected on why she expected them to get back together.
“I always had this thought in my head that maybe if he works on himself and does things, we could talk [about] ended up back together,” Green, 27, exclusively said. Us Weekly at BravoCon on Friday, October 14th. “But that’s not the case, so we’re good. I wish him well.”
The Southern Charm The newcomer pointed out that the previous conversation with Rose (42) gave her hope in their relationship. “We had a conversation when we first broke up, and I was like, ‘Here’s something I want [to work on]. I’m going to try to push you and drive you and challenge you to do these things.’ And I found that it does quite the opposite,” she said. “So that in itself was just a rejection for me.”
Green and Rose originally started dating in 2020 before taking their relationship public. During season 8 of Southern Charm, however, viewers saw the former couple’s relationship change. In July, Us confirmed that the reality TV stars have decided to split up.
For Green, seeing her ex-boyfriend’s lack of effort made her reconsider reconciliation in the future. “It just solidifies my decision. I know I have to move in a different direction,” the clinical assistant explained in detail. “I hope he’s doing well. I want to be someone who supports him and pushes him to always be the best version of himself. But I personally have to heal, root and ground before I can give again.”
North Carolina also hinted that she’s not looking for a new relationship anytime soon, saying, “I’m definitely dating myself. I know people say that, but I think I’m asexual right now.”
Green’s insight into her personal life comes after she asked Rose out during a reunion earlier this month.
“You fucked another woman in Texas. More women,” she said in the second part of the special, which aired on Thursday, October 13. “It’s been like two bloody months.”
At the time, Green condemned Rose for not caring about their relationship. “Why do you use women like that? Why did you use me like that?” she asked the South Carolina native, who replied that he “doesn’t care” and will “always love Taylor.”
According to Green, her only regret about the reunion is how she got her point across. “I wish there were some choice words I could take back,” she added on Friday. “All the yelling and the F word and the P word and the masturbate word. I wish I had stayed grounded somehow.”
