Santa Maria is asking residents to come forward with water conservation concerns.
The city’s Department of Utilities has established a water conservation hotline.
The hotline will allow residents and businesses to voice concerns, report water abuse or leaks, and request information about water conservation.
“We have been in a drought for many years. There were deviations of maybe one or two years that were wet. The bottom line is to save water if we save a gallon right now, it could be a gallon you need tomorrow,” said Mark Van De Kamp, public information manager for the City of Santa Maria.
The water conservation hotline is (805) 925-0951.
