Shutterstock (3)New kids on the block. The Real Housewives of New York gets a reboot with new faces for season 14 (besides a Legacy spinoff with OG stars), and Bravo has finally confirmed which newbies will bite the big apple at BravoCon 2022.
Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Lizzy Savetsky, Thanks Jessel and Brynn Whitfield are officially set for the lead role RHONY season 14. Filming will begin this fall, and new episodes will premiere in 2023.
It was revealed on Sunday, October 16 at BravoCon 2022 during filming Watch what’s happening live with Andy Cohen when the new cast of RHONY took a walk to surprise fans.
Before publication, the producer Lisa Shannon measured the new season on Friday, October 14, during Ultimate Girls Trip panel. “The future of the New York franchise is very bright,” Shannon said while onstage at BravoCon in New York. “There is a new cast, you will hear about this new cast very soon. And they’re, like, sensational. I’m so excited about it.”
Said the ex Housewives the stars will soon be asked about RHONY: Legacy spinoff. “We’re still finalizing who we’re going to date, and I think that’s going to happen soon,” Shannon added during the panel.
Well done boss Andy Cohen confirmed that the reboot took priority over the Legacy series.
“I hope that [fans are] happy with both. That’s all I can say. It’s true that we haven’t talked to any of our classics RHONY about women Legacy however,” the Watch what’s happening live the host, 54, said Page Six on Friday. “We were really waiting to win RHONY reboot properly, and we really wanted to tell new stories, and we wanted to capture the energy in New York, and I’m really happy with where we’re at.”
Cohen released two shows in March. “We talked about everything. There were people who really wanted, ‘Let’s start all over.’ And then there were people who said, ‘Wait a minute, but what about this group that we’ve invested 13 years in?’ I think that’s why this really listens to everybody,” the Missouri native said Diversity in that time. “This is a favorite show. And that’s part of the reason why it took us a little while to just sit with this and figure out how we wanted to get this right and make it a gift to the fans, which I think this will be.”
The The Real Housewives of New York Season 13 introduced OG Luann de Lesseps, Sonya Morgan and Ramona Singer next to Leah McSweeney and Ebony K. Williams. However, Cohen was reluctant to say exactly who would be invited RHONY: Legacy.
“I don’t want to go into details about specific women. Because then it’s like, ‘Oh, well, he said yes to these two…’ The answer is: Sonja and Luann have been part of the show — for Luann, since the beginning, and Sonja since season three. So I mean, in theory, of course!” the Glitter Every Day the author added at the time. “I could talk to you about hypothetical situations involving a lot of people who used to be on the show. I think the good news is that it’s a group that’s still in each other’s lives.”
