All in the family! Teresa Giudicenew husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas found out why he called Joe Giudice before marriage with The Real Housewives of New Jersey the star of this summer.
“I was talking to Joe, actually, [on] on the wedding day,” Luis (47) exclusively said. Us Weekly on Saturday, Oct. 15, while attending BravoCon 2022 with his wife, 50. “I called him to tell him that I’m, you know, committed to his daughters and Teresa.”
The businessman recalled telling the 50-year-old Bravo star: “You and I have a connection where we can talk about anything that’s going on with the kids. You know, [like], ‘I’m here.’ So we’re really good.”
Teresa echoed her husband’s sentiments by explaining that during a recent visit to the Bahamas, she and Luis had dinner with Joe before picking up one of her girlfriends. The former spouses, who separated in December 2019 after 20 years of marriage, share four daughters: Gia (21), Gabriella (18), Milania (16) and Audriana (13).
“I was so nervous. But you know, we had the best night,” he said Turning the tables said the author Us on Saturday. “It made the kids so happy.”
Luis and Teresa got married in August after two years of dating. While the New Jersey native’s ex-husband was not present, Lewis said Us that Joe gave the newlyweds a gift by being so supportive of their union.
“The gift is peace, and the gift is what he gives the girls every day. Because honestly, you know, it really is a guy who makes lemonade out of lemons,” the Digital Media Solutions co-founder said of Joe, who was deported to Italy in the fall of 2019 after serving three years in prison for fraud. “Because, like, he’s not with his daughters, but he’s so connected with his [girls].”
Lewis continued: “I hear the kids walking around the house saying, ‘I just spoke to dad.’ You know, there really is a connection there. The only thing that is not there is that they are not face to face, but they are [there] in spirit and heart and love.”
Teresa, for her part, talked about her relationship with Luis Us“We just passed one year [of] we live together and it’s simple — our blended families are amazing, thank God. It was like everything worked.”
The Standing Strong the author’s oldest daughter, Gia, joined Luisa and her mom as she attended her first BravoCon.
“[Luis is] unbelievable. We’re literally, like, such a big happy family,” Gia exclusively said Us on Friday, October 14, in New York. “We are all so happy. Life together was great.”
The reality star noted that while she is now in college, she sees how good Lewis is to her mom when he comes home.
“He respects my family so much. He treats my sisters as if we were his own, and my father appreciates that,” added Gia.
