MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) – The stage is set and so are the candidates: incumbent Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R) and Lowcountry pediatrician Dr. Annie Andrews (D) will square off in her only scheduled debate as they battle for your vote in the race for South Carolina’s 1st congressional district.
The debate will be broadcast LIVE inside this story starting at 8:00 PM, immediately followed by post-debate analysis at 9:00 PM
The debate’s moderators – WCBD-TV’s Carolyn Murray and WSAV-TV’s Ben Senger – will ask a series of questions about the topics most important to voters in the district, including the economic outlook, how lawmakers should approach abortion and health care legislation in South Carolina, among others.

The election for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District (SC01) will be held on Tuesday, November 8th. Early voting in the state begins Monday. Registration to vote in the South Carolina election has already closed.
