Persons of interest 1 dead, 1 injured behind Oxford City Hall

OXFORD, Miss. (WMC) – A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after police received a 911 call about two people injured in the parking lot behind Oxford City Hall early Sunday morning.

The Oxford Police Department was called at approximately 1:14 a.m.

Police say officers arrived along with the local fire department and began tending to the two victims.

Both victims were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Mississippi.

Police say the man died from his injuries. The woman was taken to Regional One Hospital in Memphis.

Authorities have not yet determined what injuries the two victims sustained.

The Oxford Police Department has developed two persons of interest in the case along with a gray four-door vehicle.

The Oxford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the persons of interest in the photo.
