The director, 38, shared a photo from Nora Ephron’s 1983 novel on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, October 18. Mustard. The passage, which comes from an autobiography about the author’s divorce from Carl Bernstein, included a recipe for salad dressing.
“Mix 2 tablespoons of Gray Poupon mustard with 2 tablespoons of good red wine vinegar. Then, stirring constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons of olive oil, until the vinaigrette becomes thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that is perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive,” the recipe says.
Wilde’s social media post comes after allegations from her children’s former guardian about her private life. The nanny, who chose to remain anonymous, claims the actress made her special salad for her current boyfriend Harry Styles in the midst of her breakup with Sudeikis, 47.
“The night she left with the salad, Jason was chasing her, filming her in the house,” the childcare provider claimed during an interview with the Daily Mail on Monday, October 17. “She was saying, ‘I’m afraid of you, Jason, I’m afraid of you’. And he said, ‘If you fear me, why do you leave your children with me?’ Then Jason went outside and laid under her car to keep her from leaving. She got into the car to go back, he was lying under her car so she wouldn’t leave.”
Nanny also described in detail Ted Lasso Zvezda’s alleged reaction to Wilde’s romance with singer “Golden” (28). “Jason said to me, ‘She made this salad and she made her special dressing and she’s going with her salad to dinner with [Harry]”, she stated. “I said, what kind of salad dressing? He said, ‘She has a special salad dressing that she makes for us and now she’s taken it from him.’ I don’t know what was in it. Of all things, he was like, ‘She made her own special salad dressing and brought it to him.'”
The former couple, for their part, condemned the claims in a joint statement.
“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that the former nanny of our two young children would choose to publicly make such false and derisive allegations about us,” they said. Us Weekly. “This is the unfortunate culmination of what has now been an 18-month campaign of harassment against us, as well as our loved ones, close friends and colleagues. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”
Wilde and Sudeikis, who have son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6, began dating in 2011 and got engaged two years later. Earlier this year, the New Yorker addressed “completely false” speculation that she had left her ex-fiancé for the musician. “Our relationship was over long before I met Harry. Wilde added: “We were raising two children during the lockdown, so we co-parented during that time. When it became clear that living together was no longer beneficial for the children, it became responsible not to, because we can be better parents as friends who live in different houses.”
