Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell Relationship Timeline

Her perfect match! Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell they married after two years of dating – but their relationship was love at first sight.

The duo was first linked in early 2019, with Emily in Paris star who made the romance Instagram official that August. A little over a year later, Mary Steenburgenthe son asked the question.

“It was kind of one of those situations where I knew as soon as I met him that I wanted to be his wife one day and so it was just a matter of when, really,” Collins said during an appearance on Live with Kelly & Ryan in October 2020, a month after she announced her engagement.

McDowell got down on one knee while traveling in New Mexico. “Everything was very pre-planned,” Manch said the star Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. “He made a self-timer video, which we were then able to record and screen capture later. But he set it all up without me knowing, apparently. … I was very, very surprised by that, but it’s exactly what I would have wanted, and he knew me so well.”

Two years before she started dating the director, Mirrors mirrors the actress opened up about how her parents – Phil Collins and Jill Tavelman — affected her outlook on relationships.

“I find that I’m really drawn to mysterious creatives and I love people who are able to put their emotions out there for not only the world to see, but they’re the ones giving their emotions, but a little mysterious and elusive as well,” she continued. The Talk 2017. “And my mom is such a strong independent strong willed woman and she always taught me to accept my worth for how I saw myself and women empowerment and it’s okay to be independent and need someone at the same time. Somehow I will be both.”

The Okay Zvezda and McDowell got married in September 2021 in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado. “This moment will play in my head forever,” the groom wrote on Instagram at the time, while Lily commented: “So excited to be your WIFE ❤️‍🔥.”

Before she fell in love with the California native, Lily was in a relationship Taylor Lautner, Jamie Campbell Bower, Nick Jonas, Zac Efron and Chris Evans.
