Las Vegas police are looking for a suspect in a January murder

Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are looking for a suspect in a January murder.

LVMPD said the incident happened on Jan. 1 at 2:49 p.m. near E. Owens Avenue and Main Street.

According to police, the suspect was walking across Owens when the victim approached him. LVMPD said the man pulled an unknown weapon from his waistband and shot the woman once in the head. The suspect was then seen walking southbound on Main Street towards Foremaster Lane.

The woman was taken to the University Medical Center for treatment. On January 5, investigators were told that the woman died from her injuries.

Detectives are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. LVMPD describes the suspect as a man of unknown race, 6′0″ tall, 220 pounds, and believed to be in his late 30s to mid 40s.
