Kenosha police said they are responding to reports of an active shooter at Bradford High School, but so far have found no evidence of a shooting.
Authorities searched the school “floor by floor” Thursday morning to ensure there was no real threat, the department said.
They asked the students’ parents not to come to school and to wait for instructions from the authorities.
“I repeat… the ACTIVE SHOOTER has not been located and there is no evidence to suggest anything occurred. This may be a hoax; however, we will not rule it out and continue with protocol,” the department wrote on Facebook.
Further details about what led to the report were not immediately known.
