Huntsville woman gets $1.5 million in bond after drug bust

TONY, Ala. (WAFF) – A Huntsville woman was arrested and charged with drug trafficking Friday afternoon.

The North Alabama Narcotics Task Force arrested 34-year-old Brittney Simpson after finding a pound of cocaine and a pound of fentanyl during a search of a home on Beaver Brook Place in Toney.

According to Huntsville police, the street value of the cocaine recovered is estimated at $100,000 and the fentanyl at $200,000.(MCSO)

Simpson was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and held on $750,000 bail for each charge. He was also charged with possession of methamphetamine with bail set at $2,500.

Simpson is being held in the Madison County Jail.
