The story of Booksmart director’s homemade spice went viral on Monday, October 17, after she and ex Jason Sudeikis‘ the former nanny claimed about the end of their relationship. The former couple – who share son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6 – split in 2020 after nearly a decade together.

Salad dressing was reportedly the focal point in a dramatic confrontation between the exes as Wilde began her relationship with Harry Styles.

The babysitter, whose name is being withheld, said the House alum, 38, had made a meal for the “Golden” singer, 28, and was about to bring him food when Sudeikis, 47, suddenly flew into a rage.

“The night she left with the salad, Jason was chasing after her, filming her in the house,” the nanny said in a lengthy interview with Daily mail. “She was saying, ‘I’m afraid of you, Jason, I’m afraid of you’. And he said, ‘If you fear me, why do you leave your children with me?’ Then Jason went outside and laid under her car to keep her from leaving. She got into the car to go back, he was lying under her car so she wouldn’t leave.”

The janitor stated Ted Lasso star was intentionally late to see Styles. “Jason told me, ‘She made this salad and made her special dressing and she’s going with her salad to dinner with [Harry]”, she claimed. “I said, what kind of salad dressing? He said, ‘She has a special salad dressing that she makes for us and now she’s taken it from him.’ I don’t know what was in it. Of all things, he was like, ‘She made her own special salad dressing and brought it to him.'”

Wilde and Sudeikis denied the allegations in a joint statement on Monday.

“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that the former nanny of our two young children would choose to publicly make such false and derisive allegations about us,” they said. Us. “This is the unfortunate culmination of what has now been an 18-month campaign of harassment against us, as well as our loved ones, close friends and colleagues. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”

While Wilde and Sudeikis denied the story, fans believe the salad dressing is real — and it’s been causing memes, speculation, and hunger pangs ever since. “I need Olivia Wilde to ditch my salad dressing recipe where he lassoed Harry and Ted under her car,” wrote one Twitter user.

“If I were Olivia Wilde, I’d put a salad dressing recipe on my Instagram story and then turn off my phone,” added another.

An interested viewer chimed in: “Olivia Wilde, I can forgive you for your PR nightmares if you give up the salad dressing recipe please.”

Luckily, Internet sleuths discovered that Wilde may have spilled her cooking secrets when she appeared on Questlove’s Potluck, a Food Network special, in 2020.

The OC alum shared what she called a “really simple” recipe for Roasted Salmon and Zucchini Potato Salad during the virtual show. While the TV segment focused on the preparation of the fish, her dressing recipe was shared on the Food Network website after the appearance.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • A pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions: In a small bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and garlic until combined. While still mixing, add 2 to 4 tablespoons in a slow stream, add 2 to 4 tablespoons olive oil, stirring as you go to emulsify.

For her salmon dish, Wilde recommended tossing dressed kalamata greens with olives, cucumbers and feta.
