Forecast for Sunday: A drier outlook with hot, humid weather

After a wet Saturday evening with showers and storms lingering near the coast late, today will see a bit more sun and a much drier outlook. Aside from scattered showers, much of the region will remain completely dry today, with highs quickly climbing into the 80s. The morning will begin in the comfortable 70s.

The good news is that a refreshing air mass is just around the corner. A cold front will work its way through the region on Tuesday, bringing scattered showers and storms ahead of the border. After the front moves away, Wednesday through to the end of next week looks set to be beautiful with lower humidity, cooler conditions and drier weather.

Expect light winds tonight with temperatures falling into the low 70s tonight.

No tropical developments are expected for the next five days and less than 50 days until the end of the hurricane season. Count on the NBC 2 Hurricane Watch Team to keep you updated.
