Eugene City Council

To participate: Council meetings are held at the Mary Spilde Center at 101 W. 10th Ave.
To explain: When there is a public forum or public hearing, there is an opportunity to join the meeting for those who do not attend in person. Callers can comment. He will be assigned to speak at the meeting.
WORK SESSION
When: Wednesday afternoon
What: The work session will provide councilors with an overview of the 2023 Eugene State and Federal Policy Document and the 2023 Eugene State Priorities Document adopted by the Intergovernmental Relations Committee this summer. The documents are intended to improve the council’s ability to advocate for legislative policy.
Springfield City Council

NEXT MEETING
When: 19.00 Monday
What: The council will hear a decision to consolidate its deferred compensation providers and simplify the administration of the scheme. They then vote on ordinances that annex territories from nearby water districts. A public hearing will be held on budget adjustments for various city funds. A public hearing will be held on updates to the municipal code on stormwater issues. After that, there will be a first reading of a proposed change to the municipal code that would allow employees to store bicycles in designated areas above street level at City Hall.

Lane County Board of Commissioners

To participate: Board of Commissioners meetings begin at 9 a.m. in Harris Hall, located at 125 E. Eighth Ave., Eugene, unless otherwise noted. Doors to Harris Hall open at 8:45
To explain: When there is an opportunity to comment, people must register for the meeting to do so virtually. Once registered, people will receive information on how to participate.
Individuals coming to the meeting in person must sign in on the registration form located at the front door.

During the meeting, instructions will be given to speak during public hearings and provide public comment.

MORNING SESSION
When: 9 on Tuesday
What: The Board is asked to update the charter of the Performance Audit Committee to allow for extended terms when the position of Performance Auditor is vacant. Then it will vote on approving amendments to the public works contract, giving a piece of property to the city of Eugene and renaming Jernigan Island Road to Goat Island. The board will also consider appointments to the Lane County Public Safety Committee, revisions to the Community Assistance Grant and Justice Reinvestment budgets, as well as a hearing and update on the Lane Events Center community multi-use facility project. Eugene Emerald as the anchor tenant.
HALF SESSION
When: 13:30 on Tuesday
What: The board will hear an update on the Rehabilitation Center, which is used to divert people with mental health and substance abuse crises from jail and the emergency room. The council will then hear an update on progress related to issues with the homeless population throughout Lane County.
