Cool start to the week

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – We will see plenty of sunshine during our Monday. In central South Dakota we see only a few high, thin clouds. It will be very cold today with highs in the 40s in most areas. Winds should continue for most of today, but this afternoon, we may see some gusts of 25 to 30 mph, especially in the northeastern parts of the area.

At night, it gets very cold. Lows fall on teenagers around the area. Some of us are even close to single digits by tomorrow morning! Tomorrow will be sunny and cooler again with highs in the 40s. The second half of the week looks better with highs in the 50s Wednesday, 60s Thursday and 70s Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday looks to be a fantastic day with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s! Sunday looks good too. We’ll be in the 60s and 70s across the region, but we’ll get a chance for some rain, especially in the west. There’s a slight chance of rain next Monday, but we’ll cool into the 50s for highs.
