LINCOLN, Neb. (COLOGNE) — Temperatures will be below average in most of the region today. The warming trend started on Wednesday and will continue through the weekend. Rain will likely return on Sunday and continue into early next week.
Today is expected to be mostly sunny and cool in most areas. High temperatures will range from the low to mid 40s in eastern Nebraska to the low to 60s in the panhandle. It shouldn’t be that windy with northerly winds of 5 to 15 mph.
It looks like Wednesday will start out cold, but the afternoon will be much warmer than Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s in far eastern Nebraska to the mid 70s in parts of western Nebraska and the Panhandle. The wind blows from the west and south-west at a speed of 5 to 15 m/s.
The warming trend will continue into the second half of the week, with temperatures expected to be above average on Friday and into the weekend. A cold front moving through the area on Sunday will cool us down early next week. There is a chance of rain on Sunday and Monday. Both of those days also seem to be in focus.
