Chitina dip reports are due on Saturday, October 15

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – For those who fished the Chitina this summer, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) is REEL-ing on any last-minute reports.

Salmon fishing for personal use in Chitina was closed on September 30 of this year. Permit holders must report their harvest numbers by Saturday, October 15th. Reporting is done online ADF&G Online Yield Report website.

Permit reporting is mandatory and all permit holders are required by law to report their harvest number, even if they did not catch or catch a fish. Those who do not report online by October 15 will lose their permit for next year.

ADF&G would like to remind residents that accurate reporting and participation and harvesting are necessary for sustainable management of the Copper River salmon fishery.
