BSC offers a new diesel technology program

BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – BSC is offering a new program starting in January 2023. Students can now enroll in the diesel technology certificate program.

Classes partner students with local auto shops. In the mornings, they practice with qualified professionals, and in the afternoons, they conduct the class online. Currently, 30 spaces are open, but as more stores partner with the college, more room will become available.

“Our society is now begging for diesel technology. We get some, we have partner schools within the university system that offer diesel technology. But there was really nothing in the central part of the state,” said Marie Wolk, dean of current and emerging technologies at BSC.

This program costs just under $8,000.
