Bridgeton woman charged with leaving baby in hot tub, causing severe burns

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – A woman has pleaded guilty to exposing her child to extremely hot water, causing severe burns.

According to the St. Louis County District Court, Mindy Kammer of Bridgeton placed the child, who was younger than two years old, in a bathtub with very hot water, causing severe burns to her legs and feet. Kammer admitted that he kept the baby in hot water despite her crying and trying to get out of the tub. Kammer told the court she kept him there because she thought he was just angry.

The incident occurred in April 2018 in Webster Groves. Kammer pleaded guilty to second-degree assault on October 17, 2022.

The court verdict was set on December 16.
