In response to the allegations, Levine clarified that he did not cheat on his wife. “I used poor judgment when I talked to anyone but my wife in ANY flirtatious way,” he wrote on an Instagram Story in September. “I didn’t have an affair, but I crossed the line in a sad period of my life. In certain cases it has become inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to make it right with my family.”

The Maroon 5 band member added: “My wife and my family are all I care about in this world. Being this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that really mattered to me was the biggest mistake I could have made. I’ll never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together.”

After Levine’s statement, more women came forward with their claims about past experiences with the songwriter. Prinsloo, for her part, has remained tight-lipped about the scandal.

The couple, who married in 2014, were spotted spending quality time together amid the drama.
