Antioch police release pictures of jewelry found on body discovered in fire – NBC Bay Area

Police in Antioch have released pictures of jewelry worn by a woman who was found burning on a city trail Monday. She was found dead, but authorities were unable to identify her.

Firefighters discovered her this morning on Mokelumne Trail between Gentrytown Drive and Lucena Way. The fire was extinguished and police were called in for a joint investigation between fire inspectors and Antioch police.

The victim is believed to be African-American and under the age of 30. She is about five feet six inches tall, although her weight is unknown.

At the time of discovery, she was wearing a ring on her right ring finger, as shown in the attached photos, and a metal necklace with a pendant with the letter “K” attached to it. Although “K” was the only letter associated with the chain, it is possible that there were previously more letters. (Antioch Police Department via Bay City News)

At the time of discovery, she was wearing a ring on her right ring finger and a metal necklace with a pendant with the letter “K” attached to it. While the letter K was the only letter associated with the chain, it is possible that there may have been multiple letters previously.

She also had extensive dental work in the past, police said. He has three missing lower molars and a characteristic gap between the upper front middle teeth.

Authorities determined she died before Contra Costa Fire found her.
