What we track:
- Another very cold night
- Lots of sunny weather
- Warming up again later this week
Tonight should be even colder than last night as lows drop near 20°. Our wind will be pretty light, but it will be enough to make us feel like teenagers early Wednesday morning. This should be the last freeze of this cold weather period.
By Wednesday afternoon, this cold air mass will look to move eastward a bit, and we’ll be able to warm into the 60s for highs. We expect things to heat up even more by the end of the week and into next weekend. During that time, afternoon highs will return to the 70s and even 80s by the weekend.
The good news is that our overall weather pattern looks set to change by the weekend, and that should allow for more opportunities for rain to return to the long-range forecast! However, that won’t happen until early next week. As it stands right now, it looks like Monday and Monday night will have the best chance for showers.
