ADOC inmates’ work breaks at facilities are ending

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAFF) – The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) announced Monday that all inmate suspensions at the facility have ended.

According to ADOC, all facilities are back to normal with regular food service, regular inmate movement and inmate programs. Work breaks began on September 26.

ADOC Commissioner John Hamm released the following statement:

“It’s been a tough three weeks for ADOC staff, and I’m very proud of how they’ve risen to the challenge. The day-to-day operations of state correctional facilities involve a lot of moving parts, and it’s best to ensure that those parts fit together. I want to commend every member of the ADOC staff who goes above and beyond to make sure that all essential services are maintained.
