A woman was hit and killed by a city car on West Park

Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County Park Police are investigating a woman who was hit and killed by a city car in Sunset Park Tuesday afternoon around 1:45 p.m.

According to initial reports, Clark County officials say a county worker was using a boom truck to cut down trees in a park near the intersection of Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue. According to news reports, when the worker was leaving the area, the truck hit a woman who was lying on the grass.

A spokeswoman for the region says the officer who was driving the car is cooperating with investigators.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is assisting with the investigation.
