LINCOLN, Neb. (COLLEN) – The Nebraska Department of Transportation plans to open another stretch of road in the Beltway South project area on Tuesday.
NDOT says 120th Street, north of Saltillo Road, will reopen in its new configuration Tuesday morning. Motorists taking Highway 2 eastbound can expect southbound traffic to back up to the eastbound lanes of the freeway via 120th Street before the work.
“Traffic on Highway 2 will continue in a single lane configuration in both directions,” NDOT said in a press release.
“Eastbound traffic on Highway 2 will continue to use the new lanes, turn left onto Highway 2 eastbound and continue eastbound. [the highway] or to 120th Street. Westbound traffic will use the new road to the new direction [portion of the highway]turn right onto the main road [leading towards Lincoln]and continue on existing westbound routes.”
Weather permitting, effective October 18, 2022, 120th Street, north of Saltillo Street, will reopen to through traffic in the new configuration. Traffic on Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2) will continue in a single lane configuration in both directions. pic.twitter.com/ebVyBIxNg0
