A mild Saturday turns into a cool and blustery Sunday

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) — We’ll get a day off from our cold temperatures Saturday before cold temperatures return for a few days.

We will have mostly to partly sunny skies and we will see a dry cold front move through. A cold front will increase and push northwesterly winds, and severe fire weather is near. Highs will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Tonight in northern South Dakota, skies will be mostly clear to cloudy with more clouds. The wind is blowing from the northwest at a speed of 5-15 m/s and the lowest in the 30s.

Cold weather filters in Sunday with highs in the 40s to 50s with a strong north-northwest wind and partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.

Monday and Tuesday will bring plenty of sunshine, but it will be cold, with highs only in the 40s and lows in the twenties and lows.

The good news is that we’ll warm up the second half of the week with 50s to 60s Wednesday and 60s to 70s next weekend with clear to partly cloudy skies.
