One man is dead and three others were injured after an overnight crash in Germantown, Maryland, authorities said.
Authorities were called to reports of a crash involving a truck and an SUV around 11:15 p.m. Saturday on Route 355 Frederick Road near Plummer Drive, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
The occupant of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified. The driver of the jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver and passenger of the truck were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue tweeted photos which show that the truck crashed through the front yard of the house.
A traffic warning was issued due to the blocking of traffic lanes due to the incident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
